The Story of Santa

Ho, ho, ho, I am a merry old soul
With lots of toys for the world as a whole
I bring you holly with a whole lot of jolly
As I do my job with little to no folly.
They say my belly is a bowl full of jelly
But actually it’s packed with hot cocoa and pie.
Over packed that is, as my reindeers cry.
I eat lots of cookies and drink mostly milk
So I can fit in my suit that is made of red silk.
I manage Santa’s workshop at the North Pole
Keeping the elves as busy as underground moles.
We sing and we bake and we make lots of things
And relish in the joy our toy factory brings.
Mrs. Claus and I love kids of all ages.
We have so much fun reading the Nice Kid Pages.
As you have guessed I am Santa Claus
I wear a red suit with black glove paws.
On Christmas Eve, I travel the sky
Riding in a sled pulled by reindeer that fly.
I know it can be somewhat hard to believe,
But believe you must if you want to receive
Presents and goodies and Christmas cheer
On Christmas Eve for and from all held dear.
And now that the story of Santa has been told
Bundle up with your family for tonight will be cold.
Listen carefully and you might hear me say
As I stop by your house with your toys in my sleigh,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night
For it is time once again for me to take flight.
