Please note: FAQ about God has been created to challenge you to think. The answers are based on our personal studies of the Bible, the only infallible authority on God. These answers are written by fallible humans though and are not represented to be comprehensive, dogmatic, or infallible. Who is God?

God is love.
 
"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."
                                      1 John 4:8

God is light.
 
"This then is the message
which we have heard of Him,
and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all."      1 John 1:5




What does God expect from me?

To do good.
 
"He hath showed thee, O man, what is good: and what doth
the Lord require of thee, but
to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"                          Micah 6:8




When was God created?
 
God is. He has always been.
 
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
                                     Genesis 1:1

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning
with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made."                      John 1:1-3

Before Him there was no other.
That is far enough back for me to concede He is the first, owns the copyright, holds the oldest title. Want to know what thrills me the most? He is the
same yesterday, and today,
and forever.            Hebrews 13:8

Hallelujah! Our God reigns.




Where is God?

Everywhere. He is omnipresent.
 
"Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him?
saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord."            Jeremiah 23:23, 24




How can I know God?

By keeping His commandments
 
"And hereby we do know that
we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that sayeth, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in Him."
                                1 John 2:3-4




Why...

Because He loves us
 
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be
the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us,
we ought also to love one another."          1 John 4:10,11

Because He first loved us.
The list of why's you might ask are endless:
Why did God create man?
Why did God allow sin to enter the world?
Why does God let people go to hell?
Why did God send His only Son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sin so we could go to Heaven?
Why does God let children get sick?
Why does God let people lose their jobs?
Why does God allow people to be victimized?
Why does God allow disease?
Why does God allow hearts to hurt?
Why does God allow pain?
Why does God allow loss?
Why does God let mean and unjust men rule to and fro in the earth?
Why does God let bad things happen to good people?
Why does God let satan tempt people to sin?
Why...?

Have you ever asked any of these questions?
I have.
At the top of this article, I issued a disclaimer that these answers were just from personal study and should not be looked upon as infallible. This question is an exception. Consider the answer to this question the grounding belief of my faith and personal relationship with God.
On this one question, I stand on the Truth of God's Word with a confidence that will not waiver because God leaves no room for error.
I ask the question again, Why...?
Because God loves us.
Because God is Love.
God always does the most loving thing for us. There is no darkness in Him. God does not love when loving is easy and stop when it gets tough. God does not love when He feels like it and walk away when He does not. God does not love when there is an ulterior motive and quit when it does not work out the way He plans.
God is Love.
I can not explain it.
No one but God can fully understand the measure of it.
It is supernatural.
It is God.
It is divine, never failing, unending Love.
God is Love.
Why...?

    Is Mount N affiliated with a particular denomination?  

    Mount N Ministries is an independent, interdenominational, Bible based ministry dedicated to loving
    others for Him. It is not affiliated with any particular denomination, but is interdenominational in its
    focus, teaching and audience. Our ministry is to edify, encourage and equip the body of Christ by
    helping them grow in their knowledge of God. We utilize the Scriptures to teach practical Christian
    living and address real life issues facing those we serve. We encourage the daily individual study of
    the Word and the practical application of it to our daily lives. Our purpose is to help those we serve
    become over comers in their Christian walks.

    How do I send a prayer request? 

    You can send a prayer request to Mount N via e-mail. The Mount N family will lift your prayer
    requests to the Father in our daily prayer times. Please let us know if you would like us to share

    How can I sponsor a Mission Possible missionary or event? 

    Mission Possible is your opportunity to get involved with missions. Sponsoring a missionary or
    event can include providing prayer, emotional and financial support. Being a faithful prayer warrior,
    sending cards or notes of encouragement, funding the purchase of Bibles, helping a missionary
    attend a Mission Possible event or enjoy a rest at the Mission Possible House are but a few of the
    ways you can be a blessing and sponsor a missionary.

    How can I sponsor a Pastor? 

    Many rural churches are unable to provide enough financial support for their shepherds to
    participate in retreats, conferences or other spiritual enrichment trips. You can help a shepherd
    experience rest and encouragement on Mount N by sponsoring a shepherd. This might include
    funding all or a part of travel expenses, purchasing conference/retreat materials, or financing a
