Mount N Farms produces organic fruits, vegetables, and field crops.
Mount N Montana Ranch
The Mount N Ranch is an organic farm and working ranch. We grow a wide
variety of vegetables, herbs, berries, grapes, trees, and cut flowers on the
farm. The ranch is located in the mountains along the Continental Divide so
we are high, rocky, and very cold. We have greenhouses
to expand
our short growing season for the crops that need a little extra time to
mature. We
practice self-sustaining farming methods and have followed a lot of old
paths and techniques to help us build and develop our soil and production.
We have plans for major expansions in our farming and ranching operations.
Next season, we hope to add stone fruits, apple and pear orchards, and expand our vineyard. Our family loves
farming and relishes in being in the great outdoors. We enjoy fresh fruits
and vegetables, and appreciate the quality of homegrown produce. We believe
in self-sufficiency and sustainable living and are having fun eating what we grow.
Peace of Heaven Idaho Ranch
The Idaho Ranch provides fresh fruits and vegetables for both ranches.
Produce stored and preserved from the Idaho Ranch feeds the Mount N
Staff, friends, neighbors, livestock, and guests from around the world. The
Ranch provides a large vegetable garden, a broad assortment of culinary and
medicinal herbs, a wide selection of brambles and berries, a sizeable apple
and pear orchard, and a variety of stone fruits. We also grow our own hay to
support our livestock needs. We have a wonderful greenhouse setup to start our growing season
a little early in the spring and provide a place of refuge for some of our perennial plant friends in
the colder months. The ranch is located in a banana belt on a little
mountain that is surrounded by 360 degrees of mountain ridges. We enjoy a
very nice balance of temperatures and the property is naturally protected
from harsh winds and storm events. The land is sub irrigated so the ground
helps water our green things. We feel blessed with our own little garden of
blessings...
Some dream of fresh fruits and vegetables. Others
go to the market and purchase them. At the Mount N Ranch, our family
rises early to plant and grow what we eat. Fresh fruits and vegetables
are one of the many blessings God has given us and we enjoy sharing them
at the market and with friends and family who visit the ranch.
Many life lessons are learned and taught working in the fields and
gardens. One quickly learns you sow what you reap and that you are wise
not to ignore weeds that spring up around you in the garden. Weeds
invade and rob resources. Even the healthiest plants can be choked out
and lose their ability to produce fruit.
Diligence and faithfulness bring great rewards in gardening. Our family
loves growing green things, and we appreciate the eternal lessons we
learn about growing and flourishing when we are farming.
Mount N Farms is sowing and reaping a
good harvest with vegetables, berries, grapes, herbs, flowers,
and trees. Plants, saplings, flower arrangements, and homemade
baked goods and goodies are also available seasonally.

Whatsoever Thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for
there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the
grave, wither thou goest.
Ecclesiastes 9:10

We invest a lot of time, effort and
commitment in our farming operations. During planting and harvesting
season, we work long, hard hours while we pray for God's blessings
on our efforts. Seeing those pumpkins begin to ripen and picking
those first berries always brings such joy and fulfillment to all of
us. Excitement abounds on the ranch over each plant that produces
fruit...and there are a lot of plants. It is almost like turning our
family loose on a treasure hunt when everything starts ripening. We
have fun and find such joy in the rewards and blessings of harvest,
that we very quickly determine every minute spent working on the
garden this season was more than worthwhile.
What do we grow? Everything. We are still experimenting with the
climate and soil conditions in Montana, but are successfully
growing a variety of vegetables and produce on the ranch.
Incredible flavor, color and size are the trademarks of our
produce - cabbage, corn, beans, peas, tomatoes, lettuce, greens,
squash, zucchini, cucumber, pumpkin, melons, radishes, peppers,
eggplant, carrots, potatoes, beets, onions, turnips, okra,
celery, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, garlic,
rhubarb, asparagus, and more.

Then sayeth He unto His disciples, the
harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of harvest, that He will send forth
laborers into His harvest.
Matthew 9:37, 38

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of
righteousness quietness and assurance forever.
And my people shall dwell in a peaceful habitation, and in sure dwellings,
and in quiet resting places;
Isaiah 32:17, 18
