Hebrews 9:27-28
Judgment is Coming
“And as it is appointed
unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to
bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the
second time without sin unto salvation.”
Hebrews 9:27-28
We all know that we are going to
die someday, but do you realize that is not the end? This
verse says that after we die we will be judged which brings up a few questions:
How will we
be judged? Who is going judge us? What is the standard of our judgment? Where
will this judgment take place? When will it happen? Why? First, Why? We must be
judged in order
to determine if we are worthy of eternal life. We will be judged according to
our works and only those who have accepted the free gift of salvation in Jesus
Christ will receive eternal life
(John 3:16).
How will we be judged? Is your name written in the Book of Life? If not, you
will
be judged according to your works and cast into the lake of fire
(Rev 20:11-16).
If so, then you
live with Christ forever.
(Rev 20:11-16). The only way to
get your name written in the Book of
Life is to accept Jesus Christ
(John 14:6).
Who is going judge us? God will judge us. When will
it happen? God’s final judgment will occur after Jesus returns to earth and
reigns a thousand
years (Rev 20).
At the end of the thousand years there will be one final battle between man and
God in which God rains fire from heaven and consumes his enemies casting the
devil into the
lake of fire. What is the standard of our judgment? Our works. Did you accept
Christ or not?

Hebrews 11:1
Faith
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
Faith is an unquestioning belief, complete trust or confidence, loyalty,
believing implicitly.
Faith is what you believe in, where your trust
is. “For we walk by faith,
and not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 When
you sit on a chair you expect it to hold. You have faith in the chair.
Every
morning and evening the sun comes
and goes. You have faith in that the world
will
continue. You expect the ground underneath you to stand firm, to be a
foundation, but some people have faith in God that He will keep them safe as
the ground shifts and crumbles around you. The whole world can crumble
around us. Everything here on earth can and will fail us. Everything we
believe to be firm and constant could one day just disappear. We have to put
our faith in the One Who will never leave nor forsake us, Who is and always
will be there for
us to put our trust and belief in. We have to accept God’s
free gift of salvation and then walking
in faith go where He tells us to go
and be Who he wants us to be. For by faith are ye saved through grace and
that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works lest any man
should boast. But,
how can others tell if we are true followers of God?
By our fruit. In a song it
compares faith without works as a song you
can’t sing and says it is about as useless
as a screen door on a
submarine. One of the best ways to have faith in someone is to know
and
study them. God gives us His Word the Bible to be able to study Him and have
faith that
He will always do the most loving thing for us, according to His
Word. Wherefore take unto
you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and having done
all, to stand. Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword
of the Spirit, which
is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints; Ephesians 6:13, 16-18 So I
charge you to
put all your faith in God and allow Him to lead you.
Read His word so you
can
know Him, and speak to Him so you can have a true relationship with your
Heavenly Father. AN
