Numbers 26:64-65            Stand Firm
"But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun." Numbers 26:64-65

Out of over 600,000 people, only two, Caleb and Joshua, were allowed to enter the promised
land. They entered, because even in the hard times, they had trusted in God and stood firm.
Even though everyone around them was afraid of the giants in the promised land, they trusted
if they would only try, the Lord would help them conquer it. As Christians, we are called to trust God in this way. No matter what anyone around us says, we need to remember that God is in control, and if He has told us to do something, He will give us the strength and resources to do
it. We must stand firm no matter what giants may be in our way. We need to keep in mind that God is always bigger and He will help us.

Christians, we cannot succumb to peer pressure. Caleb and Joshua did not. As we go through our daily tasks, we need to remember no matter what anyone else says, we must do as the Lord commands us. We must stand firm in our beliefs, standards, and morals. We need to raise our children based on our convictions, without wavering. We need to become an army of Caleb's and Joshua's. If we do, then we can defeat satan and cause a revival among our fellow man. Stand Firm! NEN - E

Deuteronomy 4:9            Forget Not
"Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them
thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;" Deuteronomy 4:9

Moses gave this command to the children of Israel before they entered the Promise Land. He
wanted them to remember what God had done for them in Egypt, and how He had provided for their every need in the Wilderness. He wanted them to pass the story on to their children and grandchildren. Once we have passed through our own wilderness, we can sometimes forget
how God led us through. Let us continually remind ourselves of His faithfulness, and proclaim
His trustworthiness to others.

Deuteronomy 4:29-31            Will You?
“But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find Him, if thou seek Him
with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are
come upon thee, even in the later days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be
obedient unto His voice; (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) He will not forsake
thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which He sware unto them.”
                                                                                                                                          Deuteronomy 4:29-31

God had spoken to the children of Israel about idolatry. He told them if they turned from
serving Him and did evil in His sight He would destroy and scatter them among the nations.
But thankfully God is faithful to forgive the truly repentant heart even in the midst of our faults
and failures. He extends His boundless grace to us if we will turn from our sin and seek His
face with our whole being. Will you? ”
(For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) He will not
forsake thee.”
